Dear Brethren,
On behalf of the Valley of South Bend we wish you and your family a happy and healthy 2010. The Valley of South Bend achieved the highest honor in 2009 by receiving the “Valley of the Year” award given out at Council of Deliberations in Lexington, KY.
In 2010, we plan on achieving this goal again. We have several new functions planned and are traveling several degrees throughout the territory. If you are a current member of the South Bend Valley I urge you to attend a function of your choosing as we have a little something for everyone.
Along with the Valley functions that are planned we are working hard to reach out to our fellow Blue Lodges. We are instituting a “ritual assistance” program called VALRAG which when completed will offer lodges in need of help a chance to use a database we have compiled consisting of members throughout the Valley.
A member slating a degree can call upon a Scottish Rite member on this list and they will come out and aide you in a particular degree. If you are not a member of the Scottish Rite, we ask that you take the time to go through the calendar of events on this website and see what we have to offer. The Scottish Rite emphasizes “Inspiration, Convenience, and Enjoyment.” The Valley of South Bend hopes that you will consider favorably upon joining us as you embark on what should be an exciting new chapter in your Masonic journey. You can contact the Valley of South Bend directly or simply download a petition from this website. Another method to join is to speak to fellow Scottish Rite members from your Blue Lodge. They should be more than happy to aide you in coming to your decision to become a Scottish Rite mason.
We hope to see many new and familiar faces as we travel through in what should be an exciting 2010.
Fraternally,
Tim Farster
